(no subject)
so people have always told me im so0o optomistic and always cheerful and stuff but this week TWO people have told me im very negative? lol. so me and my parents sat down today and went over all issues in the local elections and things. it was fun,i learned new issues and we fought over a few too. The ones i feel really strongly about are 4:
stem cell research-im so agaisnt this. so the commericals are always like omg we cant use federal funding for it! what they dont tell you is you can do it privatly owned,federal funding is for adult and ambilical cord AND already dead Embryonic stem cells,plus they have been proven the most least effective one out of the 3. no im not agaisnt for religion and stuff,but to fund the embryotic cells would cost CALIFORNIA $300 billion. where does this come from? your tax dollars!! too bad it will probably get overwelmingly passed =/.
another issue was the 50 or more employees then the employer pays health care for each of them. my mom voted for it grr,but my dad voted agaisnt yay! so it sounds good and all, but thats so damn expensive. it will drive employers out of cali and the people who have like 54 employees will end up firing those 4. screwing california up more than it already is.
the 3rd issue i cared most about was if you have over a million dollars you pay 1% tax to the county. why the hell should rich peopel get punished just because they were successful in life!?
and last,the indian gamling. i seriously hate all these things,youve probably seen the commercials and yes i agree with them, all it will do is make the freeways more clogged and cali more crowded. although, we would make a profit, o well i dont think its worth it.
there were like 20 issues we did but the others i really dont care much about,and i cant vote anyway so it doesnt really matter.
I read a transcript of what osama said in his threat video. it really scared me, and i just cant see kerry taking action agaisnt these things. hes such a liberal, i dont think he will go to war. i think he'll want to do his damn global test and in the end,france will rule us all haha.
So we have 2 days, im having doubts, i think bush is gonna lose because its so close and i think that rock the vote will have an impact. my dad says 18-25 has always been the least amount of people to vote but i think because the country is so passionate about it,the group will vote. i really hope not because they tend to vote democratic =/. o well.
