Reasons why life is lovely at the moment:

My papa and I are going to Alaska and Canada in June, on the lookout for some grizzly bears. My dad actually really likes bears, which is a new thing that I can't really explain, but whatever, I'll go with it. I had read this already so I was scrolling past it just now and as it was going by, my eyes transformed "ate at thali bistro" into "ate dahlias" and I got a really lovely image in my head of people and bunnies sitting in the sun munching on flowers. thanks for that.

They are amazing! I saw them two summers ago at Lollapalooza so I'm really excited to hear them play their new album. You should go too!

Oh man, grizzly bear watching? That sounds so rad! I am definitely too at one with city life to ever do such a thing (and as such will be spending much of my summer in the city of Jakarta, population 8.5 million), but at least I can live vicariously through lovely people like you. Also, Chicago + LOW + BLONDE REDHEAD = yay! I hope that "might be going" turns into a "will be going for sure!". :)

I've never had Sri Lankan food before, but I loooove Indian and Nepalese food, and I bet Sri Lankan food is just as yummy.
