I am constantly surprised by my own versatility in being able to fail in so many different ways.
My grandfather fell and cracked his head open on Friday. The cleaning woman was over and, since he has always been a hard worker, he felt awkward sitting in the living room while she worked so he went outside to clear the walkway with his leaf blower. I know you would have taken him if no one else could have, and it wasn't life threatening... though at that age, sometimes you never know.
I don't think he took it personally, and its not like you completely neglected him. But, maybe it was a bit of a wake up call just to remind you of what's truly important here. One exam wouldn't have failed you out of nursing school. You are such a good student that you could afford to miss something. And you are a good student because you work as hard as you do.
So just remember that.
Sometimes its lose/lose, and you just have to prioritize concequences at that point....
Hm..... that's good advice. Maybe I should follow it in this coming week.
