A tutorial for this icon - cause you asked for it!!!
Hey there :) AGAIN!!!
well, you know me i have to blab and blab about everything, so imagine i did, and you scrolled down to the tutorial :)
here it is :)
Ok, so here's my original pic (thanx to desiringhayden.net)
yea, i know it's a bit blurry and everything, but one thing i learned
from making my 100 ani/padme icons (i only made it to 58 i think) for
pairing100 is that every single pic can be used for icons even the one thats pixelated and ugh.....don't get me started
so, i rotate it a bit, crop and make my base out of it :)
- pretty good right?
the next thing i did, was add a border (i was obsessed with borders then as i am with times new roman now k?)
on black back so you can see it properly...
--->
so then i added a texture (
icons_with_love), set it to multiply 100%
--->
now i feel the texture has taken over the icon, so i duplicate the
base, set it to soft light and move it over to the top...then while
still having that layer selected i pressed ctrl and the thumbnail of
the border layer in layer palette, and hit delete...One thing i really
like about the soft light layer is that it leaves bits of texture
visible while the main image is still in focus....you know what i mean
- to be honest now that i see this and the result icon i like this so much more...but ok let's move on with the tut
now, make a new exclusion layer and fill it with #0d004c
new pin layer, 30%, fill it with #c28e93
new multiply layer, 10%, fill it with #ffcc00
new color layer, 30%, fill it with #fff799
now added a light texture, i dunno who made it but if you do lemme know k?
screen, 100%
--->
some text and youre all done
have fun
