A tutorial for this icon:

Well, this icon actually is from a phase when i was experimenting with
patterns....it's easy to make, at least it would be if i could share
the pattern i was using, btu i'm not allowed to.....any other blue-ish
will work though....

You'd be suprised how little layers this icon has :) only 10, of which most are duplicated

ok, heres' my pic:

cropped it and resized to 80x80...the changed the canvas size to 100x100, and filled the background white.
there's my base:

- these are actually two layers, the one thats all white is behind a 80x80 pic placed on it :) only the pic will be duplicated

selected two parts of the white space, made a new layer and filled with a pattern by inxsomniax which i can't share since its for hgx members only, but you can use soem of her free patterns provided here
(to be honest - the 4th or 6th of the free ones would both work
perfectly....), then selected one more part above the opic and filled
with a different but still blueish pattern by thia again

duplicated the patterns layer and set it to multiply 100%

new exclusion #122f42 layer, 65% opacity

a gradient, set to lighten 100%

--->

now duplicated the base pic and the patterns layer again, slided em over to ther top, and set them both to soft light

and then added some text :)

  -  and there you have the icon of icons :)
