Looking for a little clarity on Clear.

Does anyone know much about the high-speed inernet provider Clear? I've just gotten a flyer promoting their services and, since I hate Comcast with a bit of a burning passion*, I thought I'd check into it

So does that mean you thinks it's worth $50/month for unlimited access?

It looked to me like you could choose either home wireless or the portable, but you don't get both.

If it would work at least as well as my Comcast currently does I'd be pretty tempted. The fact that it's a pretty new service makes me a bit more reticent to switch, though.

l00p had clearwire - i'd suggest asking his opinion.

if memory serves, latency was a major factor, not letting him use the connection for streaming or playing games online.

no video = killer for me.
