Extra Cafe

Siva stood up slowly, confused as to why Lex couldn't just tell her who Zandra was right there in the cafe, but quickly stopped thinking about it. She walked quietly to their room and sat down on the bed, looking up at him. "Is something wrong with Zandra, or something?"

Lex followed Siva out of the extra cafe to their room. He wasn't even sure where to begin. All he knew was that he probably should tell her before she found out from any other mallrat who couldn't help but stick their nose in his business. Lex held Siva by the shoulders and persuaded her with his arms to sit on the bed. "Siva, I need to tell you something about Zandra. She's not just any girl". He wanted to wait for a response from Siva, but figured he better get it all out while he could. "Zan and I ...we had something going before. Before she died...um..before she died, Zan and I were married." Lex fell silent. He didn't even want to bring up the fact that Zandra was pregnant with his child. He might just wait until he knew for sure he still was pregnant ( ... )

Siva shook her head slowly, dumbfounded. "And you couldn't tell me about her before? You told me about Tai-San, but you couldn't tell me about Zandra?" The tears started to well up in her eyes before she could stop them, but she forced herself not to cry. "Why didn't you tell me this before?"

She turned away from him and sat indian-style on the bed, looking down at her hands. He was probably afraid of her reaction. He probably didn't expect her to be like this though. She seemed to be even more emotional now that she was pregnant... But that was no matter. It still hurt that he couldn't tell her something this important.

Lex wasn't sure how Siva would react to the news, but was surprised when he saw as she got upset. He had thought things might have been better received than they were. "Babe listen, she was dead..it's not exactly like these things happen every day. Don't you think if she was still in the picture I would have told you?" Lex didn't mean to make Siva upset..although it seemed that he always had a knack for things like that.

"Listen Siva, you really should calm down. There's nothing between us..it's all in the past." Lex walked over to Siva and put his arm around her waist. "Come on babe..can't we just forget about all this?"

Sive shook her head slowly. "I don't care that she's not still in the picture. Neither was Tai-San but you told me about her. Where's the difference?" She wriggled out of his hold and moved away, not wanting to be touched by him at the moment.

"I don't want to forget about it, I want to talk about it, which is something you obviously don't want to do. Fine." She laid back, being careful not to touch him because she'd probably soften. Everything wasn't always about him... why couldn't he see that?
