Opinions...
Abortion: So when it comes to abortion I strongly believe that it is murder. I do not understand how a child is not allowed to be murder when it is two months old and needs its mother for survival, but it is allowed to be murdered when it is in the mothers womb and still needs it’s mother for survival. No matter what the situation, it is not the babies fault. They should not be punished and have their life taken away for others mistakes. I am pro-life and I am not going to hide it. A baby has the right to live in and outside of it’s mothers womb. Sure people say there is great things that can be done with the babies like stem-cell research, but, I think that a baby’s life is worth more than stem-cell research. I have no problem with them using the umbilical chords for stem-cell research though. If you want to know more about pro-life or need help to support yourself, go to www.Caseforlife.com !

Eating Disorders: I personally think eating disorders can be a very scary issue. The thought of people hating their bodies so much that they hurt it just breaks my heart. People do not realize how hurtful their words can be on others until something tragic happens due to their cruelty. A dear friend of mine who was not fat at all and a very beautiful fit 14 year old girl thought she didn’t have a boyfriend because she was fat. A guy she liked said she wasn’t “his type” and she took this to mean she was overweight. She was seriously the perfect weight for her 5’ 7” stature. She went into anorexia. She would eat half a bag of grapes at lunch and that was it all day for school. We would go on chorus trips and she would eat ¼ a salad at olive garden. Her mom would call me even to ask if she ate. Her body started to shrink rapidly. Her hair started to thin and fall out with every touch. She would sit down and you would see every bump in her spine. She went from a size four to a size 0. The size 0 was even a bit too big and would frequently have to be pulled up to her bone hips. One morning the anorexia finally took a awakening factor as she fainted in her bathroom and hit her head on the counter top. She was kept in the hospital for one week. Her body was too weak and was eating away her muscle. Visiting her made me cry every time. She looked nothing like herself. When she got out of the hospital she still kept with her anorexia besides the anorexia therapist and the trying of her friends and family. She finally started to come around, no one knows exactly what made her realize because she will not tell. Now she is sixteen and more gorgeous then ever. Sometimes she slips and binges but we all watch her and keep her motivated. I hope this story didn’t annoy you but I think it is the reason why anorexia scares me so much. I am so scared for the people who do this to their bodies. Our bodies are so complex, we need to take care of them. I don’t frown upon people have struggle with eating disorders, I just pray for them and hope they can see what they are doing to themselves, and realize how beautiful they are.

Bush:I think this subject is kind of touchy. In the previous election I supported John Kerry. Now John Kerry wasn’t the best man for the job but I did believe myself that he was a better man for the job then George Bush. I do not agree with a lot of the thoughts and opinions George Bush holds but he is our president and I respect him for that. I think that the war was something that needed to happen, because the first gulf war didn’t solve the problem. I do not agree with the lies George Bush used to get there when he had other motives but I support our troops more than 100%. I have friends and family serving over there and my father is a Chief in the Air force so I am not naive and discussing something I have no clue about. I really like politics and think they are very important to life. I am an American and I support my country, I just hope the next president will do a better job to justify what we stand for. Plus, I get to vote in the upcoming election and I am so excited!

Gay Rights: Okay when it comes to my religious convictions I am supposed to be lead to feel that homosexuality is a sin. That it is a sinful lifestyle and it isn’t right. See where people start to not understand this, is when they think well doesn’t everyone sin? Yes! Everyone does sin! And what it took me FOREVER to understand is that we are all imperfect but I am not living a homosexual life style. I am not living a life style that will be sin all day every day. I know when I lie that I am sinning and that is wrong. Now do not get me wrong, homosexuality is not the only sinful type of life style! Alcoholism, Drugs, Adultery, & theft is all examples of sinful life styles. According to what I have read and understand from the scripture of the bible, if you live a sinful life style than you are not living a Christian life style because you are giving in to a life that goes against God. Now, as much as I believe that I also believe that the church and state should be separated and that America should not be allowed to make laws against homosexual marriages. My close friend and my aunt are homosexual and I love them dearly and do not look down upon them. I hope you do not feel that I got all preachy on you, that is how I feel.

Censorship: Censorship is very important to controlling situations. If they show you the bloody truth of what is going on in Iraq you might not support the war we are fighting. It is horrible how these young men and women are fighting but they did sign up to support and protect our country and that is exactly why they are our heroes. There are also things that you do not need to have your children hearing on the radio stations about sex and drugs. The radios should be limited to what they can say because the radio should be for everyone! Movies have ratings just to help censor what your children watch or even just what you watch. Television also needs censorship because currently the news tends to take things way to far. People do not need graphic violence when they watch the news. The news needs to informative and sometimes the information can be scary, but not always.

Drugs: Drugs are a scary thing if you think about it. Not even just illegal drugs, but prescription as well. Some drugs doctors have you take have only been around a short while and they have no idea what affect it will have on your body in 20 years. We ingest these drugs all the time without thinking of possible future consequences. Illegal drugs are also scary though because they are illegal for a reason. The government isn’t just trying to make your life boring and the same as everyone else’s life. They are trying to protect you. People die everyday from overdoses and accidents that occur while under the influence of illegal and prescription drugs. Honestly, you do not need drugs to have fun. My aunt is a recovering drug addict. She was addicted to painkillers and reached a point where her life was put in danger every single day, as well as her daughters. It finally thankfully woke her up when she saw her daughter at eighteen leave her and how much it was hurting her other two daughters who were in denial. She went to rehab and got a lot better. She was gone for months but fell back to her hold habits shortly after her return. She has gone back to rehab several times and is doing much better now. You have to be careful on what you put in your bodies, they are delicate and one of a kind.

Suicide: Suicide is a very touchy subject. Not only is suicide a very big religious debate it is also a very big opinionated self view. I think suicide is such a sad way to die. The thought that someone feels so empty and un-loved that they leave the world just breaks my heart! The thought of dieing alone and heartbroken just tears me apart. I pay so much attention to my friends to make sure I can see when they are hurting just so I don’t miss something that could lead to their depressed death. No one should have to die alone in the world.

Religion: I love my God. Now when I say my God I do not mean he is only mine, but I don’t want to insult anyone by saying “the only God” or “our God” because I do not know your religious stand point. I am a Christian, as much as I hate stereo typing myself into it because of all the judgmental people in the world that claim the title as well. You have to understand that with every aspect of life there are hypocrites and people who have no respect for anyone else. Just because one man says that women are pathetic and the slave to the male species does not mean that all men think the same thing, get my point? I think it is impossible that our amazing bodies alone could come from nothing, there had to have been a creator. God gives me so much peace and shows me so much. God forgives me for all my screw ups and no matter what I do he will always love me and will always take care of me. I know that all the tragedies that have happened in my life God has protected me through. I respect everyone’s religious opinions as long as they are not disrespectful to others religious convictions in the process. As long as someone takes the time to consider the possibilities and look at their decision for themselves I respect their outlook on it.

Random... Okay I feel very strongly about the genocide in Darfur right now. The thought of all those women and children dieing right now for no plausible reason kills me inside. The world said it would never look past genocide after the holocaust but they are now. There are so many genocides that have happened and that are continuing. Darfur is just one of the many. I am trying very hard to start a organization at my private high school but it is hard getting the administration to care as much as I do. I am already fundraising for a missions trip to the Dominican Republic that it is hard to also get the school to care about this. I want nothing more than to help the people of Darfur but I know it will take millions to save all of them. For more information try www.savedarfur.com !

Of all of today's controversies and goings-on, which controversy or problem annoys you the most, and why? Hate Crimes are becoming ever more present in the apparent time. So many people have bias views of other religions, races, and political standpoints. The fact that people support the hatered and hurting of other groups is disgusting. Everyone has the chance to live the American Dream, even if they are Jewish, African-American, German, & Christian. Now I am not saying those are the only people attacked, those are just examples. There is no reason for this to even be occurring. It is 2007 and we are still dealing with unspoken segregation. It is time to make a change for the better.

Describe yourself to us in your own opinion: I am a very caring person. I genuinely care about others and their problems. I love and cherish good friendships and people that hold me accountable. I am strong in my beliefs, but respectful. I am my own person and not someone just conforming to fit in. I am a musician I want to have an impact on the world before I die.

If You Could Change Something About Yourself, What Would It Be And Why: I tend to judge people to quickly and I hate that about myself. I am working very hard to change it. I am getting better though and I am so happy for that.

What are 10 things you do every day? Shower, eat, brush my hair, sing, talk, drive, read, write, laugh, & smile.

One interesting fact about you: I am having an Upper Endoscopy on Monday morning.
