CAMPING: Please read if you're going! :)
A'ight, kiddies, one site has been reserved for Monday, August 2nd through Wednesday, August 4th.
- It has been reserved for 6 people. As if this posting, there are either 4 or 5 people going. If it turns into 6, my vote is for someone else to reserve a site right next to the one we've already got, and we'll double up. (We wouldn't have to worry about space, we'd be able to bring four cars rather than two, and there'd be less chance of our "neighbors" complaining about the noisy teens who do NOT want to get checked up on. Okay? Okay.)
- We are allowed 2 cars per camp site. Witch Baby will be making the trip again this year, and I imagine that Miss Kerri will need her car, as well, since she'll be going to work during the day. If there are any objections, let me know. If you just think we need another car, also let me know, and/or one of us can call the campsite and ask if there's another lot we can get a parking pass for.
- Money goes as following: The campsite costs $15 per night, and there is a $10 reservation fee. So $15 x 2 nights = $30 ; $30 + $10= $40. $40 / 4 people = $10 each. On the other hand, forty dollors divided by six people would be approximately $6.75 each... Two campsites for two nights divided by six people would cost about $13.50 each, and, obviously, divided by 12 people (the max. for two sites) would also cost each person just about $6.75. You can at least imagine the totals for the various combinations in between. I'd like to pay less and have a bigger group anyway, so get cracking on asking people you know. teehee. ;) There are also things like food and drink ( !! ) that we'll need to take care of... Set aside money for that, or raid the home pantry. Or do both. Hee.
- We are site MOG026. For last year's campers, yes, this site IS in Mohegan, and try as little Melissa might have, Mohegan 15 was unfortunately not available for our desired timeframe. ;) Mohegan 26 was, however, as was Mohegan 24 and Mohegan 28. We are close to the bathrooms... And right on the edge of the campground (by the creepy woods, I'll be honest), and far, far away from that main little hub that we really don't want to be near.
- "Guest List" as of July 27, 10 AM is as follows: DEFINITES: Melissa, Sara, Kerri, Ryan ; POSSIBILITIES/SPECIAL CIRCUMSTANCES: Kristen, Tom Javery, Pinks and his friend, Jessica and her boyfriend. ...Find more people. Please God, find more people. Visiting is definitely an essential... Just please remember that we're at a State park, and we'd like to just co-exist peacefully with anyone around us. ...Especially since the campsite's in my name, and I will be violent if misrepresented. ...But seeing as how I'm speaking to my friends and not small children, I think I can shut up about it now. =X Yeah. 'Pologies.
- We have two tents! One is our beloved 4-person, bought by four clueless girls last summer. It rocks, lol. The other belongs to Ryan, and is quite possibly larger than my bedroom. It sleeps 10, I believe. We'll have both. I personally feel that the Sex Tent, in which There Is No Sex, is a camping essential. Bring sleeping bags or blankets, etc... Whatever you're most comfortable with.
- There are showers, sinks, etc,, but this is not the home bathroom. 'Nuff said. Meh. ;)
- Bring stuff to do and plenty of bug spray. We played Uno like it was our job last summer, and made frequent runs to CVS for after-bite spot treatment sticks. ...That was fun. The outlets are down the street, and there's your normal town-activites in Clinton. We don't have to confine ourselves to the campsite at all times, so keep that in mind, as well.
...I think I've covered pretty much everything by now, and most of you who look at this are already going to know most of it, so. Eh. Maybe I was just bored. (...Kidding...) The only things left are either unmentionable here, or last-minute-type WhereAreWeMeeting questions. So. Yeah. This will be fun! :D
...Really, I swear. IM, text, or
email me with questions/concerns/etc. :)
Mice..!
