Yeah, it's a survey.

1. Elaborate on your default icon.
Tulips, because they're currently my favourite flower and they make me happy because they're so symbolic of spring.

2. What's your current relationship status?
Taken! And very much in love.

3. What exactly are you wearing right now?
Super-casual exam-time clothes: Raspberry red long-sleeved T-shirt, basic jeans, and a tan military-style jacket.

4. What is your current problem?
My French final, which is threatening to grab this term's average and suck it down to record lows.

5. Whom do you love most?
God. But if we're talking about humans, then Eric.

6. What makes you most happy?
Perfect summer days, shopping sprees, good friends, and of course Eric.

7. Are you musically inclined?
I used to play piano and violin. I'd like to learn to play the cello, but I probably won't have the time. And if I did have the time, I'd probably come to resent having to practice like I did before.

8. If you could go back in time and change something, what would it be?
I would have become more outgoing at a younger age and conquered my shyness.

9. Ever have a near-death experience?
Does nearly falling into a canyon count?

10. Name an obvious quality you have?
I can be highly charming and charismatic if the situation warrants it. I can churn out A+ quality essays in the shortest possible time.

11. What's the name of the song that's stuck in your head right now?
It's a tie between 7/4 (Shoreline) by Broken Social Scene and The First by Tegan and Sara.

12. Any celeb you would marry?
Um, no. Celebrities are overrated.

13. Name someone with the same birthday as you.
Nobody that I know of. Because I'm special. Actually, because I don't really want to bother googling to find out what plethora of semi-famous people share my birthday.

14. Do you have a crush on someone?
My boyfriend. And before that, there was a long string of other guys who absolutely pale in comparison to Eric.

15. Have you ever vandalized someone's private property?
Oh I'm sure I've vandalized something of Emily's before. It's a petty sisterly revenge thing.

16. Have you ever been in a fight?
Of course. Verbal though, because I wouldn't last a second in a physical fight. But I can argue circles around pretty much anyone until they give up and admit defeat.

17. Have you ever sung in front of a large audience?
Unfortunately, when Mom forced Emily and I to sing hymns in front of care-home audiences full of little old ladies while wearing matching hand-sewn dresses.

18. What's the first thing you notice about the opposite sex?
Smile.

19. What do you usually order from Starbucks?
I have three regular orders: Grande 2% extra caramel caramel macchiato, grande 2% marble mocha macchiato, or tall 2% no-whip cinnamon dolce latte.

20. Have you ever hurt yourself on purpose?
No... That's just weird.

21. Say something totally random about yourself.
I daydream a lot. I get wrapped up in imagining elaborate scenarios about what life might be like in the future, and I like to mentally play through all possible outcomes of an event until I've turned them into detailed mental dramas worthy of their own TV shows.

22. Has anyone ever said you look like a celebrity?
Thankfully no. Am I the only one who doesn't think it's flattering to be compared to a celebrity?

23. Do you wear a watch?
No, because I can hardly tell time on an analogue watch but I think the digital ones are ugly. I do own a very nice watch with a shiny silver band and a slender, rectangular, pale lavender face, but I only wear it very occasionally as a non-functional accessory.

24. Do you have anything pierced?
My ears, with one hole in each one. I tend to wear the same earrings (diamond studs) for months on end, because anything other than silver, gold, or platinum makes my ears swell up and itch.

25. Do you have any tattoos?
No. Gross.

26. Do you like pain?
Definitely not, because that's just twisted.

27. Do you like to shop?
I adore shopping, and I fall victim to the shopper's high very easily. Clothing and shoes make me happier than they should.

28. What was the last thing you paid for with cash?
The parking fee at the View Street parkade.

29. What was the last thing you paid for with a credit card?
I don't own a credit card. Yet. Actually, I've been planning on applying for one sometime in the very near future.

30. Who was the last person you spoke to on the phone?
Mom.

31. What is on your desktop background?
An abstract swoosh in a very serene pale purple.

32. Do you like redheads?
I don't see any reason not to. Although I find it odd when their eyelashes are so light that they're almost invisible.

33. What is the background on your cell phone?
A snapshot of Eric and I

34. Do you know any twins?
Not personally, although apparently my French T.A. from this term has an identical twin.

35. Do you have any weird relatives?
They're all weird. Seriously. Especially everyone on my dad's side, who make me wonder whether part of my heritage is in fact Martian.

36. What was the last movie you watched?
Head Over Heels. I was in the mood for a sappy, cliche, romantic comedy chick flick.

37. What was the last book you read?
Does my Organizational Psych textbook count? Because I actually read it from cover to cover. But if we're talking fiction here, then it would be the Nanny Diaries.

38. Did you go to college or are you planning to in the future?
Within days of writing the last exam of my second year – two more years until I graduate with a degree in business.

39. Do you like to party?
Not particularly.

40. Where do you see yourself in five years?
Married to Eric, living in a fabulous loft apartment in downtown Vancouver, with an amazing high-flying career and great friends.
