guess these things just happen to me :-P i did get my "save tibet" sticker in 2 days with no problems at all...that was impressive.
the lecture was interesting enough. no cutting edge new ideas, but a newish twist on the whole movement. the renoir in algeria exibit was fascinating though. there were too many people to really get to read everthing. they had it set up so there were paintings of algeria, then photographs of the area taken around the same time, as well as paintings after renoir left that reflected his visit (lingering use of deep colors and wild brush strokes etc.). i really need to go back on my day off so i can read everything and really make comparisons. you're welcome to come. i also need to examine his choice of color and movement to create perspective and such. i'm so lacking in that area with my own paintings. although, i haven't had any formal training in that respect.
so short story long, it's a great exibit and i suggest you go :-P
cool beans. i'm thinking i'm gonna go next tuesday or maybe thursday after 2ish. so lemme know if you'd still wanna come. sounds like you could teach me a thing or two, and i'm so up for that.
I've had a few problems, but on the whole I'd recommend buying stuff online. I've bought all kinds of things, too. It's just a matter of trial & error.
