Freedom, like you wouldn't believe

Now that I've confirmed a passing grade in Cosmology (a fear that's kept me restless for a week), I feel an incredible sense (no, overwhelming sense) of freedom in my life. Random note #8674 - a book you might enjoy anonymous January 6 2009, 01:24:41 UTC

You don't know me, and I'm no longer sure how I happened across your live journal, but I'm a math/physics fan too! Unfortunately, due to various pressuers and shitty profs, I quit physics for semiotics.

But I digress. Recently I read a book you might enjoy by Neal Stephenson called "Anathem". Fiction, smattering of science fiction, easy on the science. Some cosmology treated in a philosophical rather than a hard-science way.

Hope you like it!

That's funny you should mention him. My advanced quantum theory prof (who brought hope to the teaching aspect of the higher-level math/physics - he is a young genius who I hope to inspire toward in terms of teaching) recommended a book by him as well. Although it was called: Cryptonomicon.

Take care ;) and please name some more books.
