Clingyness is not fixable in the sense of "Oh hey I see it, recognize it, and will never do it again."
Clingyness, not being able to let go of a relationship that's run its course, throwing yourself headlong into a situation you know you'll come out of bruised and hurt... all that shit is a manifestation of your need to be loved, wanted, and accepted.
It's not bad, everyone's like that to a certain degree, but when you let it get away from you, it's unhealthy. To wit, if you're willing to let someone walk over you and treat you poorly (because they're not interested in you, because it's the only way they can think of to push you away in that sort of way, or whatever the fuck their reason may be) for no reason other than you not wanting to be alone (which is what it is; you don't want to be with her you THINK you want her, and maybe you do, but you don't want her as much as you want a warm body in your arms) it's unhealthy, it'll only lead to you getting hurt worse in the long run, and it runs contrary to the human instinct for
