You are absolutely right about girls, myself included.

This boy has every right to be proud of himself. This girl would be awfully sad to hear if it were otherwise.

And for what it's worth, this girl is still thankful that this boy takes her for drives sometimes and makes her feel cool and Spring-y and loved.
