Stoning in Islam.

In Women in Islam the other day someone asked the question about why punishment in the Qur'an is inflicted equally upon both genders but women seem to receive the brunt of punishment in modern day Islamic rulings. This is fascinating to me as an outsider (?) (is that horrible of me to think/say? It probably is, I didn't mean any harm with it though)

Oh no way! I am an outsider too. :) My academia is pretty much dedicated to Islam because it's so fascinating in all its contradictions and inspirations.

I see beauty in seeming religious contradictions though. :) Even in my own faith it just proves how much my mind is working to get closer to God.

You should! The Qur'an is really hard for me to read/follow but I love reading transmitted stories of the Prophet himself.
