Yes you do! Also you're a liar you'll start aching for academic papers in like 3 months.

It’s irresponsible for a Westerner to shove the burden of victimization onto Muslim women when they remain blind to the sexism and misogyny prevalent within their own culture and faiths.

Fuck this is fantastic. FANTASTIC. I love how strong your voice is in it.

I had the privilege of hearing a feminist muslim speak at a human rights conference I went to and this mirrors a lot of the stuff that she was saying. Then you'd get the morons going "BUT WHAT ABOUT THE STUFF YOU HAVE TO WEAR" and she'd explain and they'd be all "Pfft you're just saying that because you're oppressed". -_-

(Also, is that proper citation? Because I've been looking for sites to tell me how to cite things for a university paper and they all say something different and my paper is due soon and SOMEONE JUST TELL ME HOW TO CITE SHIT.)

Citing will depend on the style your professor/school expects you to use (some of the styles: APA, MLA, Harvard, Turabian, Chicago, AMA)

Even before I started studying Islam academically I didn't really care about what people wore. I mean yeah I'd see a burqa or niqab and be like oh weird. But now the idea of modesty is the one thing that's really carried into my personal life. It's all in your motivations of why you wear stuff and it was really difficult for me to realize that I wasn't wearing low cut shirts out of liberation but out of desire for vapid male attention. Not that I think anyone should be forced into hijab nor forced into a bikini.

It depends what class you're writing for. I also have footnotes that I didn't know how to import into HTML. Generally English/Literature papers will use MLA, Psychology papers will always use APA, History generally uses Chicago/Turabian (which this paper is), and the rest of the humanities or social sciences are pretty lenient about using whichever you're comfortable with.

I prefer Chicago with footnotes because footnotes ultimately take up more space than parenthetical citation.

¡Mi agüelita 'ta en Santo Domingo ahora! She usually spends Navidad back home because she is certain the Winters are out to get her~*

I am ok, a bit :( because a lot of my relatives that never go to Santo Domingo for Christmas are going this year & I miss my mom (mucho mucho) but other than that, I am apples. I got mom's ~report card~ from her physiotherapist & I thought it was so cute she sent it to me.

How are you? Are you going to eat empanadas & plátanos in my name? I forgot to tell you to eat queso de hoja too if you find it, con mangú. I am salivating.

Are you ready for next year? OHMYGOD, 2009 is almost here!
