Even though I could get it, it's still a lot of money that I'm not willing to spend (even if it's not all mine). I don't need an iPod, I've gotten along fine without one, and I still will be able to listen to music. Yes, it would be nice to have, but it's not something that would make me truly happy. Yes, it would entertain me for a while, but I would rather take that money and go do something that I could remember for a long time. I've gotten pretty materialistic these days, and I'm just not feelin' it anymore.
