Fake fake lj-cut!
So, I had this plan last night while tossing around trying to sleep. I'm not sure how interesting/sense-making this is -- let me know if it's totally stupid (I typoed that as sleepy which says a lot about my state of mind right now).
Anyway, plan is if your character gets stung by an angry bee in Kon's post, they start acting kind of ... drone-like. No huge changes in personality, but they have a sudden urgent need to gather flowers, or pollen, or even honey, and deliver these to the queen bee. Who is the Queen bee? Well, rather than make this reliant on one person, I figured that we have many Queen bees. Say character 1 sees a girl that is important to them (with Kon it'd be Buffy, for example.) Character 1 presents their girl with flowers and or honey. Girl is confused. Character 2 (also bee-d) passes by, sees flower-giving, presents girl with flowers. Character 3 sees flower giving, does likewise. Hive-mind mentality, right?
I'm thinking once we get to the flower part we make use of an IRC chan called #beesknees to go 'hey guys, hey guys! Let's swarm ----!'
I figure we do this as long as we want and then it wears off with the bee sting -- how long do those last? A day? And stress that your character is totally normal except for their compulsion to gather flowers etc.
Any thoughts/suggestions/want to tell me to come back once I'm awake? Let's have them!
