You know, it's really been a while. Relationship meme/questions for Kon! And Kon only. I don't think I could handle six characters at once. :<

Also Excel reminded me! Reverse relationship meme because I am curious!

I'm always curious, especially recently.

Francescu's always tricky because Kon kind of compares himself against people, and Francescu's smart and he's got a lot of power. So Kon feels vaguely insecure around him, and he tries to console himself that he is cooler than Fran. So Kon tends to act more Kon-like around Francescu, and imo overdoes it. He also kind of worries that Clark likes Francescu more than him, so Kon seldom really looks at Francescu for Francescu. Basic impression of Fran is 'good guy, but.'

And then Clark dropped the showers on Fran, and that was ALL KON's FAULT. He panicked. He was really worried about Fran, and that conversation they had in Terry's porn post, Kon actually considered Francescu for Francescu. And he was an okay guy. So now Francescu is at 'okay.'

gg Kon.

GG, Kon.

Fran...actually, "okay" is a pretty good way to describe it, shading to "good." Obviously, he doesn't have the self-esteem issue Kon does, but they started off in a fairly bad place; Kon trying to find Clark a "new best friend" to replace Lex hit Fran's free-will ping, not to mention being pretty damn insensitive. Kon's sort of grown on Fran, though, especially after they've fought together a couple of times. He's entertaining to talk to, and good in a fight, and if he's childish and insensitive and something of an idiot sometimes, it doesn't make him a bad person, just a little young.

I'd totally forgotten that. Not Kon at his best.

Daddy!

Um.

Kon's aware that Daddy's enthusiasm is very uncool and overdone. He consciously overdoes it in return -- that way no one can accuse him of sentimentality, right? Because he just say he's playing along 'cause it's fun. But Kon on a deep, very retarded level *does* want a Father and well, Daddy offered. And he's there. Isshin really means a lot to Kon, and if Kon doesn't really want to think about why or how this is, it doesn't mean it's not there.

Oh, Kon. Such a teenager! Isshin's sort of figured by now that Kon's had some important gaps in his development, and between that and the fact that he actually asked to call Isshin Daddy, there's pretty much no way Kon's getting unadopted now.

Thor! Kon would love to go get Beer with you. All the coolness points you lost with the 'no sexing kid!buffy' thing you got back by taking her for piggyback rides and just generally being cool. You're without doubt, Kon's favourite deity.

RR time.

Thor's hands were tied by the dictates of chivalry, that time... It was better to voice an unpleasant question and dishonor himself by asking than to allow even the remotest possibility of a lady being harmed in any way to slip by unchallenged. (Also, I was dumb and didn't think things through, so.) Now that it's settled, though, he hasn't given it any further thought and Kon remains among the top tier of folks in camp Thor genuinely respects, to say nothing of likes.

Ricochet also respects Kon. Kon's one of the few superheroes in camp Rico doesn't feel he's got at least something of an edge on in terms of experience--success record notwithstanding, Rico has been at this game longer than most. With Kon, though, that doesn't matter--he's proven himself a skilled and effective hero, leaving Rico without the feeling that he'd ever need to show him the ropes. He also ranks Kon well above his own "street-level" in terms of heroing, and looks to him as one of the major players.

Ricochet, man. How could I forget Ricochet!

I actually think you pinned how Kon feels about Ricochet in your comment -- sort of professional respect and appreciation. Kon's picked up that Ricochet's got a lot of time behind him, and that he's still in the game earns him points. He wants to know what is up with Ricochet and the Runaways, and also Harley, but isn't sure how to ask. Mostly he thinks that Ricochet has everything under control.

Sophie's really complicated. At first Kon thought she was like Flamebird which is to say uh. superhero groupie, don't hate me. And he really didn't have a high opinion of her because of that. And then Tim liked her and was hanging out with her all the time, and Kon was all 'what? why? Am I not good enough?' and it became all about 'what has Sophie got that I don't?' (see Francescu and Kon constantly measuring himself against people). And Kon couldn't see anything, and he felt vaguely suspicious of this -- kind of thinking Sophie must have some kind of hold over the others. And he was determined that he wasn't going to fall for it, and he wasn't go to like her, no matter how many cookies she made.

And then 13 and the flying thing (which was awesome as I think I said at the time) and now Kon knows why Sophie's as important to Tim as she is. And he's grudgingly admitted that she's okay to himself, but he's still holding back because -- well, Kon's a sore loser. And he is not going to admit he's lost Tim even if he knows it.

Heh. It's funny that you mention the groupie, because she does surround herself with hero-types for a reason. Despite all the generally nice and kind and manners and whathaveyou, she's also brutal and violent and instinctual underneath all the layers of civility and self-control. Her moral compass is pretty non-functional and she looks to other people and their sense of right and wrong to temper her actions ( ... )

That gave me an idea but I'm all butterflies -- I'm doing a seminar next lecture -- and I can't put it down coherently. Hit me up next time we're both on g-chat?

Thanks! I always told myself I'd never app a character from a canon I already had on it, since I didn't want to have to deal with that much playercest, but then as soon as I saw Vic's app go up for vote I got hit by a giant burst of "Must... get... Karolina" that never went away.
