George Hearn as Sweeney Todd.

I know there's a DVD with George Hearn and Angela Lansbury version of Sweeney Todd. However, I cannot seem to find a CD recording with George Hearn as Sweeney. The only CD recording of Sweeney I found was of another singer. Is there a CD recording out with George Hearn as Sweeney Todd? If so, where can I buy it?

Sweeney Todd Live at the New York Philharmonic

George Hearn and Patti LuPone, best soundtrack to Sweeney Todd period in my opinion :)

The DVD of George Hearn and Angela Lansbury, often mislabeled as being the Original Broadway Cast, is actually the 1982 touring cast. Len Cariou was the original Broadway Sweeney Todd and is therefore on the Original Broadway Cast Recording with Angela Lansbury.

You CAN find George Hearn as Sweeney, with Patti LuPone as Lovett, on the NY Philharmonic Concert CD. This is not to be confused with the San Fransisco Symphony DVD, which also has George Hearn and Patti LuPone but has a different Beggar Woman, Johanna, and Judge.

There's the 2000 concert production CD with George Hearn and Patti Lupone as Sweeney and Mrs Lovett accordingly (and the 2001 DVD with the same stars)
