Hey guys,
I'm new here and a relatively new Sweeney Todd fan.

To be honest, I hated the show before I saw my college put on an amazing production in the fall. (I hated it because I saw the '82 DVD when I was much younger and it scared me.) The only place I've seen the CG Bond script for sale is here on Amazon. When I read it I happened to find a copy at a library. It's interesting to see what parts of the dialogue Sondheim lifted directly for lyrics, and also what parts differ (like, Sweeney seems like he'd actually consider marrying Mrs. Lovett after his revenge is complete).

No problem. And I meant to mention that all of your Sweeney opinions sound just like mine! I'm also still in love with the college production that introduced me to the show.

You can probably find A String of Pearls on any bookstore website like barnesandnoble.com or borders.

Though I personally disagree about some of the stuff in your post (not a fan of half of the movie cast, and the '82 National Tour production is my absolute favorite. Also, Hearn was not in the original Broadway cast, he was in the first replacement cast and the National Tour. The original Sweeney was Len Cariou), I'm glad to hear about a new fan!
