so yes. Matt Dixon I love you. best livejournal speal I've heard in a long time. I too am fucking proud as hell to be staight edge and am sick of hearing teenage drama from fucking supposed friends who base their fun on getting drunk and stoned. number one, I don't consider myself any better than anyone else, number 2, vanessa, I didn't say I lost you as a friend, and I don't think any less of you for what you do, so don't think that, and number 3, my friends, just like vanessa, I do't think any less of you because of it, but I lost friends not due to the fact that I chose sxe over them, I lost them because they chose drugs and alcohol over me, so i wish everyone could get the story straight, and stop hating people, and BEN I agree with your post man, and Nick thank you for the post as well. if I've missed anyone I'm so terribly sorry, so just drop the fucking subject.

do you have a checklist that people have to fill in before they're allowed to be your friend, or what? do you really expect people to change just so they can fit your set criteria of what makes a 'good person'?

i'm all for sobriety, but this is getting fucking ridiculous.

I seem to remember NUMEROUS times where I've heard you saying you partied the night before and were fucked...and were going to do it again...I know two or 3 months ago you wouldn't have said that, and you were the one saying that no matter how much anyone pressured you, you would not turn straight edge....and then all of a sudden you join a band with 3 people who are edge, and look all of a sudden you are. Anyways..just saying that you used to be the same way....having fun by getting drunk and stoned.

it seems when you try and tell people the truth they don't seem to like it. i guess i wasn't the only one that noticed that whole band thing. i'm not trying to diss sxe kids, but it seems like the pressure to do drugs and drink is as large as that not to drink and do drugs depending on your social circle, and those who become sxe sometimes don't do it for the right reasons, and can if they start to hang out with other sxe people can foget about all thier old friends...

oh yah don't get me wrong I love sxe kids, i think its great, but its okay to have fun every once in a while...it just seems how hypocritical it sounds

This is m.e. i think people put way to much into this whole sxe not sxe thing. Listen at one time most of us were all friends or all got along and relly i think if there was more support for persons and thier own decisions we'd get along a lot better.
We've built walls in the pei scene for no reason more then who's what and who's who. To me it was about the music and the friends and if some people wanna injoy these things while drunk or high let them, if they don't wanna be drunk/high that's great too and needs support cause it's hard as fuck for some, i know i could never do it.
If you have made a choice in your life that's so great you've found something but isn't it more important we break down walls then build them up?
