Humming softly to herself she sat in the courtyard on a blanket reading and sketching different flowers in her notebook. Herbology had been taking up most of her time as of late so she decided to spend the afternoon outside to study. So she can enjoy the beautiful day....

Dereck was wondering around outside and found himself a tad bit lost. He saw a pretty blonde girl sitting near him, "Um, excuse me, but I seem to be a little lost." He smiled.

Sitting up she smiled, "Well I can only help so much.. For you see I am rather new myself." she held out her hand "My names Kiley Im a Hufflepuff, whats your name?"

"Dereck." He took her hand and shook it, "I'm in Hufflepuff, too. I was just wondering around...and this place is so big compared to my old school." He smiled sitting next to her, "So are the people nice here?"

"Well I suppose it depends on the house really. I have met several wicked nice Gryffindors, and the Ravenclaws tend to be quiet. I have also learned to avoid the Slytherins at all cost" she shuddered. They had already proved to be evil.. "But on the whole I enjoy it here"
