Since I can't really afford to adopt a dog right now, in addition to all the other costs in caring for one, I think I'm going to send in my application for being a foster home for the golden rescue organization in this area

I have fostered a lab once! he was a big monster baby. I took him to the vet and got him his shots and neutering, and then he went on to another home.

there are two bronzers that i know of who do fostering. one is miller's angel who has been MIA for a while and the other is 4paws.

i could never do it. i know i would get too attached.

Yay you for being willing to give fostering a try. I think I would get too attached to the animals, but it may be a good solution for you in your situation. :)

If Alex didn't have dog fear, I'd try doing a puppy raising for Canine Companions... It would be the best of both worlds... having a dog and not having a dog!
