i think that the parsons photo department is better than pratt because if you get into parsons they have you do your foundation year just like all other freshmen but all the foundation classes are based in your major. for example, your 2d class will be photo based and you'll be grouped with other kids in your major in other classes. pratt's foundations is two years and they usually don't let you into the darkrooms and do serious printing until you're a junior, which sucks because then you're waaay behind. also, parsons has fabulous connections with magazines, designers and other studio photographers.
