Setting: la France
Characters: Adélaïde, Éloise, Noel, Open to Otto?
Summary: Because gossip gets around faster than you think.

Adélaïde was not particularly fond of children. As a general rule of thumb, she avoided them as much as she could, although she would admit to a soft spot for her younger sister - half-sister, but close enough to count. Of course, she would never admit it publicly.

And yet, dislike of children aside, here she was, traipsing through provincial France of her own free will. Because while she may not be fond of children, some people should not raise them; her own mother was one, and her former Headmaster was another.

Placing her briefcase on the small table she had taken on the street side, she sat with her cafe noir and lit a Gitane, sucking it in gratefully. She would have a coffee, revive herself before she resumed her search of this town for her former schoolmate's house. She had a book of the coming season's collections to go through, selecting what her father's stores should be displaying, what would sell. She was missing Milan to come and do this.
