Some of the faces were new mind you. There were rumors that Starla had been escorted by her gorgeous Auror son. But Knight wasn't to be see. Instead it sounded like he had to leave, everyone assumed a mission, but in truth Knight didn't want to come face to face with Nikki.

So now Starla was on the arm of a very famous blonde man, Johnny Lawless.

But that wasn't the only familiar face to Nicole. The second one hung more in the shadows. Vegas wasn't yet having much success on his own. His father had a near overdose, which brought on bad press for him. No one wanted to touch him.

Vegas had crashed her after party, he had snuck in, as Knight snuck out. He moved up to where he was told he could find Nikki, and moved up behind her. His hands covered her eyes as he leaned in to whisper in her ear, "Guess who?"

The faded Australian accent gave him away. "Sounds like a Roo with a bad cold," she teased as her hand came up to his stubled jaw. "Don't you ever shave anymore?" she asked, remembering back when he was excited over finally getting his first chin hairs.

She turned and hugged him. "I've missed you so much, Vegas. Where is Ursula?" she wondered.

Vegas pouted as she guessed right away. "I do not sound like a Roo with a bad cold," he protested as she hugged him. "I had to come out tonight, to see your preformance...and beg for some help," he said softly.

"Lula's working late at the Ministry...I have something I want to show you," he said softly, taking her hand and leading her back to the bedroom, where he had been allowed to lay down Eden.

Nicole followed him back to the bedroom. The baby was quiet and still, sleeping peacefully. Nicole felt the pangs of seperation from Skylar. "She's beautiful," said Nicole softly. "How old is she?"
