ooc;; Application for an OC, Nina. 8D I edited this post a bit from the last time... I hope that's okay. ^__^;;
Name; Nina Zakai.
Alias; The Hacker or Hacker.
Age; .[Chronologically] 13 [Physically] 16.
Description and personality; Nina is quite short. She is a very calm, quiet girl - so calm that she hardly ever speaks. That often earns her the label 'retarded' from some people, but she merely doesn't enjoy talking to many people, feeling that they're below her standards. She hopes to some day become an astrologer. She has bright, bright red hair, and lime green eyes. Normally, you can find her dressed in a black cloak, with a lime green sweater [Even in summer] and black pants. She often balances her scythe on her shoulders.
Powers; Nina can take complete control over any plant. She also has this huge, big-ass scythe (There's an entire backstory just behind that, but we won't get into that.)that she uses to mow down trees and big plants and stuff like that. It's easier to make a fallen tree get up and walk around then it is to make a tree that still has it's roots in the ground get up and walk around. She is also very good working with electronics (Hence the name.).
1st Person Example Post; Sometimes, in the night, I'll climb the fire escape on someone's home. I suppose some would consider that immoral and wrong, but I do not care. Once I'm at the top, I'll do two things. I'll stargaze, or I'll stare at Titan's Tower. They are both so huge, so massive, so ultimately demanding in their positions that my head will spin and I have to look away. They both make me feel sad, alone, worthless. Which is what I am. Then, I get wrapped up in memories from the past, and fall asleep. It's a pattern, a cycle.
Tonight's Memory: Mother used to say I was merely 'taciturn' before she died. I would have to look up what it meant every time in this huge dictionary we had at home. Then I'd laugh, and tell her that she was silly to call me that.
Taciturn.
Tac-i-turn.
adj.
Almost always silent, not liking to talking.
Now, I think it fits.
3rd Person Example Post;"I hate Jump City."
Nina barely registered uttering these words aloud, she was so immersed in the flurry of lights that was a passing jet plane. Tonight, there was supposed to be a comet - One unlike any others seen before, one that - supposidly - was only seen once every 1000 years. But there was nothing but speckled lights of buildings, and the occasional plane flying by.
Fists clenched, she punched at the air. This was her only chance to see the comet, her only chance, and this damn city had taken it away. Damn it. Another plane passed, this one's lights flashing obnoxiously. 'How many damn planes does this city have?' Nina thought bitterly, wrapping her arms around her knees.
She must of fallen asleep, because the next thing she knew, a gentle hand rested on her shoulder. Instantly alert, she fumbled around for her scythe. 'Damn it, where is it?' She thought angirly, rising and turning.
A man in a white coat waved the scythe lazily. "Is this what you're looking for?" He asked, violet eyes narrowed with spite.
"You give that back right now." Nina snarled, fists clenched again. "You don't know what that-- You couldn't know what that--"
"Oh, boo hoo. Did I take the little baby's toy away?" The man sneered, examining the blade of the scythe more closely. Nina's breathing came out harsh and ragged. When was the last time she let herself get so riled up by one person...? "I'll tell you what - I'll give the the precious baby her toy back if you come with me. Is that a deal...?
'That scythe was made by Mother...' Nina thought, then bitterly followed the man. What choice did she have?
