occ celeborn got the shaft

i just finished reading lotr for the third time and I began wondering again what the hell happened to celeborn after galadriel left, i know he dwelt in rivendell afterwards but there is no mention if he left on another ship, or if he faded away in memory of a lost time. if anyone knows what happened to celeborn, if tolkien wrote some fragment of a

I love Celeborn, hes one of my favourite elves. I've read everything I could find on him and I never saw anything about whether he eventually went to Aman or if he just faded in Middle Earth. I like to think he went to Aman personally.

yeah like hen legolas took the ship with gimli maybe it was then, or even when sam left before that, cuz in the appendicies it says that when arwen went to lorien she was alone and celeborn had left, though ive been told he stayed in rivendell

Yeh, when Arwen went back to Lorien it said something about the mallorn being faded and it pretty much being abondoned, right? My theory is that the twins (Elladan and Elrohir) left Middle Earth after Arwen faded and Celeborn went with them. Of course it doesnt have any factual evidence.

I just would think that he would go and be with Galadriel since their love was so strong.

well, idk about elladan and elrohir, cuz if arwen's grace faded when her dad left wouldnt theirs or would it rather be with their own choice.

I would think it'd be their choice since Arwen made the choice herself by marrying Aragorn and giving Frodo her 'ticket' to Valinor.
