I used to live on Rivendell Circle, in my old apartment complex. lol
(Honestly yes, it's one reason I wanted to move into it...)

strange how things like that happen. i doubt they had anyconnection to elvish or Lotr though

No. I believe there's actually a place in the UK called Rivendell, so that's probably where they got it from.
