What are you listening to? Christmas music. Yes, I'm really listening to Christmas songs.
Even though I don't like it. I'm listening to silly, sappy, sickeningly sweet Christmas music.
Tis the season to be jolly... Deck the halls with boughs of holly... Jingle bells, jingle bells, Jingle all the way...
Oh good grief, it so, is not fun to ride in a one horse open sleigh. Trust me on that one. And it's not the season to be jolly... or to deck any halls with any boughs of holly. Do you know how much holly costs these days? All that crap is so 150 years ago.
Anyway, besides hating allot of things about the Christmas holiday season. What I truly hate most of all is the damn Christmas carols. I hate those old holiday tunes they sing. I hate them with a fiery passion. People coming together wishing everyone a Merry Christmas. Singing songs of peace, joy, and good tidings. Trying to get everyone into the spirit of things. Well I have bad news for most. There is no peace on earth. And certainly isn't any goodwill for man or woman. The real world isn't hugs and puppies. And it never will be.
The fact is, most don't want to get into any holiday spirit. And neither do I. I don't want to feel anything but the cold. So give me a gloomy and sad song. Give me the world as it is.
And to all those goody-to-shoes that love the holidays. I say 'Bah! Humbug!' to the holidays. And humbug to all the damn Christmas-y music.
