After much to-ing and fro-ing, "The Decision" is finally made.

I'm going to the University of Chicago. So there, now I've said it. Actually mailed in all the "No, thank you" and the one "Yes, please, thank you" letter already, so there's not much I can do about it at this point ( Read more... )

At first I thought your comment said "Yay university babies!" and I was wondering what that meant... and I was thinking, wait, no, I'm the one going to university...

Hm. Artillery. Arsenal. Magazine! Through my incredible advances through free-flowing thought, I shall call her Magazine! Mag. MIG. Russian-aircraft cousin. RAC. RAF! More planes.

Anyway.

First, NYU is ok in my books....they sent me a free hat when I was applying to colleges....I didn't even apply there and I got a hat.

Second, you need to start calling your cousin 'Mis' (like Miss) and maybe even Young Miss since she's younger than you. Since her names all old english-like, you should start calling her that, make it like she's aristocracy.

"Hello, Miss. May I get you anything?" :-D

NYU is okay in my books too, otherwise I wouldn't have applied there... although I really did think I'd get it. I didn't apply to the normal college though - I applied to the special, fancypants, create your own program of study and not be in a college of 25,000 people college.

Little Miss!

My family would hate that. They're all slightly anal-retentive about the oddest things, especially these new babies mother. She would throw a hissy fit if I just up and called Artemis "Miss". But I would anyway. "Why?" they would ask, "Why would you do such a thing?" "Because Nicholas told me to." "What? Nicholas can't even speak..." "No, not him, the original Nick!"

I think I will start calling her Little Miss though, it just sounds neat.

Danke, Nick!

Bitte. I like how I'm the original Nick now.

Congrats on making a decision! :) Artemis is indeed a cool name, but I would hate to be named after a bitter huntress goddess. She's kind of scary.

Thanks.

I think all Goddess names are a bit scary - there's way too much pressure in having to live up to such a legacy.

But it would still rock to be named Athena or Ishtar or Quan Yin.
