Everything else in my internet life is in a major throwback mode rn (I'll get to that in a minute), so I suppose it is only natural to also feel like visiting the ghost town that is livejournal. I do miss you, lj! Tumblr is the least social social media platform I have ever seen. I don't understand why fandom migrated to a website that doesn't even

I thoroughly enjoying your HP renaissance bb. Throwback! Maybe this new fic of yours will be the third ever ~Jily fic I read! (Second if the search/replace Cloen & Rose one doesn't count lmao)
And IKR s h o c k i n g that we would fall so hard for perfect Matt Murdock right?

I am enjoying it as well. I regret nothing. writing fic like it's 2005. If this is the 3rd Lily/James fic you read it will also be the best, by virtue of the other being written by a teenager. I'm glad past me set the bar really low.
I mean, no one who had seen the Ben Affleck movie could've predicted it, to be fair.

damn. you're so confident this will be the best. :P
LMAO I FUCKING KNOW RIGHT. AND I WAS SET ON NOT LIKING IT FOR EXACTLY THAT REASON

I maintain we should rewatch it! It'd be so funny.

Is there something terrible about Toronto, or just a case of... DNW to go there? It sucks that the job stability still hasn't come. Hopefully, it's on the pipeline either with this job or a different one.
until the point I watched it and developed a massive crush on Matt Murdock.
Oh, don't we all? He's fiiiiine. I've only watched the first two episodes. Really gotta finish the series.
I'm thinking about starting to watch Sense8, too. I flirted briefly with the idea when it first came out but ultimately didn't, because at that point I knew I'd just be downloading it and letting it rot. Then, yesterday, I tried the first episode and actually got 10 minutes in and still wanted to keep watching, which was a massive achievement, since I haven't watched more than five consecutive minutes of TV in the five months before that.

I just don't really like Toronto -- it's too big and the cost of living is very expensive and just feels sort of soulless to me. It's probably not the worst place to live, and as Canadian cities go it's the most practical (other) city for me, but blech lol. PLUS I HATE THEIR HOCKEY TEAM.
It's pretty rare for me to have as big a crush on a male character as I did on Matt, but it sure did the job of getting me invested in Daredevil. I ended up liking the show overall -- I was worried that all the villain's corrupt scheming would be convoluted and boring, but I was able to follow it pretty easily lol.
Sense8 is so good!! Especially if you already enjoyed the first ten minutes, because most people find the pilot ep confusing & slow, and it takes them 3-4 episodes to really get invested. The end of ep 4 is where I was like "SOLD" and it just went up from there. It's a fun concept.

No kidding. (Not Canadian myself, but husband is a Canadian expat, so I hear more bits than the average California grizzly bear.)
I've watched and enjoyed a few TV shows this year, although none in a "give me all the fic you have" way
That happened to me earlier this year with Takin' Over the Asylum, but "all the fic you have" for that is, alas, still devourable in just a few days, since few have heard of it.
As I am a Lily/Severus partisan (not against Lily/James, obviously it's the canon ship, just sayin'), perhaps we shall delicately avoid that part of the post. :D
