anyways yea. So apparently I'm dishonest. Anything I tell my parents is only a half-truth at best. Well to that I have got to call bullshit. I tell them more fucking stuff than like anybody else I know. Has anybody else ever just come out and answered the question "do you smoke pot" truthfully? Not anybody I know. Whenever they ask me ( Read more... )

Joe I know exactly how you feel, cause my parents do a lot of the same things you're talking about. Exhibit A, I get high honors on my report card, get a summer job, keep up my running, and BAM, one night past curfew and all that means nothing. so yeah, parents suck dude I'm sorry you have to go through the bullshit. Just showing some support :)

thanks. I kinda did this because I told them I was going to do better with the grades thing and then I didn't, but I dunno. They're being really shitty about it.

I think I've disappointed my parents beyond that point. I hate hearing those speeches from them. I am so so so afraid of the future that I apparently already fucked up.

You'll be fine, Joe. You're their first, thats probably part of why they're so hard on you. You're doing your thing. And when you write your book, and I'm a burnout living with my parents and drawing things, remember me. :) Haha.

But yeah, I totally understand, man. Totally. And I'm here, of course. 4evah.

-i did. i think i have the same policy as you, i always tell my parents the truth when they ask. they've been getting better, but parents in general just flip out over weird things because they've been there and done that. and bridgewater's a good school, you should be proud no matter where you go :0) (and trust me, you WILL get into a good school)
