"... Dan?"You might think he'd look a little more upset. He let his girlfriend die tonight. The one who always insisted he was the love of her life. I never could understand how Carly always said that with such certainty. Like she knew he was it. Sam Howell or nothing else

Dan's here, and he's hitting my brother. Oh, well then... That's not good. And is it wrong I'm thinking about him being angry is actually a good look for him? I think it is.

"I heard you were doing pretty well after you killed her."I should really stop this now before Sam defends himself, since Sam only defends himself one way in particular and he doesn't like doing that unless he has to. And I don't think Dan's going to stop until he's done some nasty damage, so Sam'll have to defend himself

I tried to get around Arianna. It wasn't her fault. I don't want to hit her by accident. I know who deserves the blame for this, she's an innocent bystander. I have to find a way to get her to stop jumping in the middle. I'm not finished.

I slowed to a stop and looked at her. Arianna doesn't know what she's talking about. Sam could have left out the parts of the accident he didn't want anyone to know. How fast he was driving, for example. He might not have told her that. Maybe she doesn't have the whole story.

Or she could be siding with him because they're related. That's hard to believe because Arianna is smart. I'd like to give her more credit than that.

I sighed at how he was looking at me, and let his fists go, trying to be the adult serious one here even though he clearly now thinks I'm crazy. That's not the first time a guy's looked at me like that. I think I'm used to it by now.

"Look." I pointed to the stuff for the spell that was being set up. "The first time, Carly and Sam got into a fight, and he was stupid because he was angry, and he was the one that died. She wasn't in the car that time. She was upset over his death, and wanted to change it. So we did this spell..."

Stop that, I'm telling the truth.

"The spell put us back at when Sam left. Carly went for it, and they got into the accident anyway."

I looked over at Sam for the rest, since I wasn't there he's going to have to help me out.
