I am so bummed about college decisions! : /
Oh well!
I don't know where to go. I might receive better grades at SB and have a higher chance at getting into grad school (another shot at the privates!), but I liked the SD campus/location (and, mind you, crowd) better. What should I do?! What would you do?

P.S. Congrats on SB and SD, both are wonderful and beachy and sunny.

Can you describe Isle Vista?
And I was wondering if it's not too difficult to find students who aren't so into the SB party scene? (I just assume that SB students party very hard! I'm not sure if it's true. @_@;)

Santa Barbara is absolutely gorgeous.
Isla vista is basically a big grid of student houses, apartments, sororities, and frats. But it also has many small eateries and a few stores/markets/shops for if you need to buy a bike, surf things, groceries, rent movies, etc. I think the main thing about it is that it holds most off campus housing.
I don't party at all! It's actually very very easy to avoid. I think that is how it is with all things in college though-- not just partying. You have to involve yourself into the clubs, classes, rallies, and other things you want to do. There are kids who go there just to party, but there are just as many kids that don't.
I hope I answered your questions alright!

You definitely answered questions. I wish I had the chance to visit Isla Vista, but my family was rushing to drive back to Fremont that day!
I think I will be going to Berkeley next Spring, but I will be sure to follow your advice on balancing school-related activities, schoolwork, and fun anyway!
Thanks again. : )
