I want to study this: Bachelor of Health Science (Nutritional Medicine)

I don't know what job I could get with it, though.

I would like to do that :-) But I think hospitals etc would only hire registered Dietitians, and to be a Dietitian you need to have a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. Which is a 4 year degree, and I don't have the prerequisite high school subject/s :\

Prerequisite high school subjects? Well, what can you learn in high school that you can't in college.
Hmm, i guess the educational system is a little different but couldn't you take some of those course in college.

The most basic science subjects in University would be ones designed for first-year science students. And they've all done the prerequisite high school science, so Uni science subjects are not going to cover that material.

I guess it is pretty different over there. You have college subjects that overlap with high school subjects. We don't really do that here and we also don't do "general education" in college - only subjects that are related to what you're studying. I think that's why a standard college degree is 4 years in the US, but 3 years here. It's an easy way of sucking a lot more money out of students; say they need "general knowledge" and make them pay to study a bunch of stuff they should have learnt back in high school. Here that wouldn't happen because the government subsidises our fees so much it would break their bank to tack an extra year of study on for every student.

Anyway, I'm hoping I can get around it somehow. I kinda doubt it though. :\
