Please note, this actually takes place before Hermes lifts ye old divine smiting. One dilapidated wing of Trans still remains, and one of the creaky doors that happens to be the only portal left to the rest of the Nexus flings open. An enormous grey wolf, nearly three feet at the shoulder, comes charging out. A small kid in a cape clings to his back ( Read more... )

Just for the world to know, God forgot to install seatbelts on wolves. If this had been any other little kid that poor innocent would have gone flying through the air with all the grace and ease of a spit ball. Not to mention the ungodly mess they may have made when they landed, depending on location. Kid Dracula looked about with a sigh, well this was royally bad, even his nose could smell the mingling of life, death, magic, over worried wolf. He summoned his coffin, bats included, and began rooting around inside seeking out his potion collection. "Ok Lassie it's time to put your nose to work. I need to you start sniffing out survivors. When you find one, we'll dig them out enough that I can give them a potion then, we'll dig the rest of them out."

Adrian whines and paces back and forth while the kid prepares, watching paramedics checking and finding a weak pulse on a tall man who looks as though he should be dead. Although they are from a world without magic, even they are starting to notice that there's a range outside of which people are dying. A lot are starting to cross themselves superstitiously. The paramedics haven't quite caught on, and they airlift the man out. Adrian howls a little as he watches helicopter fly out with an undoubtedly dead body.

As soon as Kid Dracula is set up, though, he shakes himself off, and lopes off, carefully clamboring over the debris and descending as rapidly as he can. Almost immediately he locates several people trapped behind a wall, in a space the paramedics probably judged too small to fit through. He starts scratching at the space, slightly too large himself.

"Here? Ok!" Kid Dracula turns to address the adults when it kinda hits him, if he points out that he's there. Chances run high they would force him off since he was a kid. Turning into a bat wouldn't work he couldn't walk as well and he didn't know the wolf form yet. "What do you think? Should I try to fireball the wall down? Maybe find the weakest spot and nail it?" He asks as he tugs on the wall.

Adrian sits on his haunches and rumbles a wolfish answer, which is of course unintelligible. After nosing at the collapsed wall a little, he nudges Kid Dracula aside. And then lopes away about twenty feet, across rubble. When he turns around, he starts dashing at the wall, gaining speed until he blurs. Throwing his shoulder forward at the last minute, he smashes as best he can into it considering the angle, and ends up knocking more of it down, enough for someone to squeeze through. From inside, a few people moan helplessly.

"Hey Lassie I gotta go mug home for some more potions if there are more people I'm running low." Kid Dracula states as he jogs up next to the wolf. "Nod if you think there's more then ten people trapped in here."

That's a difficult question for him to judge, since he doesn't know how many people there were to begin with, let alone how many the paramedics have pulled out. Sometimes they have hundreds, but fortunately it was day time when the rooms wouldn't have been filled, and it wasn't the weekend. The karaoke bar would be closed. However it was dinner time so the main bar might still have people. After tilting his head to the side for a moment while he works it out, he nods slightly.

"Drat... Ok Once we clear out the next room I... Wait!" he goes back to his coffin and pulls out some posterboard and starts writing. Sending off a bat he runs back to the wolf. "All set next room!"

Adrian barks a few times, running around in a quick circle, and then jogs off to the hallway he cleared. It takes him a while to get oriented, and he almost stumbles into the long abandoned Guilty Pleasures club. That door swings open into a good few hundred feet of nothingness, and his woof of surprise echoes back at them. A little more frantic but wary, he stalks over a hallway floor that creaks ominously. Although the lobby would normally be at street level, it's now several stories underneath, and he has to make several precarious leaps to get down. He can scent people, though. It's dark down hear, but he can still see all right. The entire lobby resembles a tilted chessboard, so that all the furniture and most of the bodies are jumbled in one corner, covered with broken glass and alcohol from bottles that rolled from the nearby bar.

There was a mental fight going on between the part of her that was scared of Trans, and the part that kept shouting 'save people and help out!' Needless to say, the part yelling at her won. More than slightly nervous, Melinda enters the wreckage, looking for victims and Adrian. She's careful, though- she doesn't want to move more rubble on a person buried under while trying to find somebody that isn't there.

"Hello?" she calls out, nervous.

"Hiya! Did you come to help? I think everything is covered, but if you want to do a once over we can." Kid Dracula called out as he trotted his way up beside Melinda, before sticking out his hand to hold hers.

((OOC: Off to work and won't be able to respond till Saturday... But I will respond earlier on Saturday then I normally do on the weekdays!))

((Okay, bye!))

Melinda blinks and turns. "Yeah, I did. I can help with a once over." She might not have to see as many dead bodies then. Mel takes his hand.

Adrian is busy carrying out someone who is actually from the Detroit region, judging by their Spartans shirt. He passes them off to paramedics, hoping they're from this particular world. With most of the portals destroyed, there are a lot of odd beings suddenly stranded. When he hears Melinda, he clambers around a partially caved in wall and walks toward her, patting his hands on his pants.

"Melinda! Have you come to help?"
