Dear All,
Can you recall a time in which you wrote a letter to someone, but then you left it unsent? Maybe you left the page intact in the back of your notebook, or maybe you tore it off and crumpled it, leaving it astray among other unwanted things. writing unsent letters is something i too often. i almost made a zine out of letters, but i never finished it. there are some letters i'll never forget--mostly the ones in my LJ and the ones that never left my heart. the letters written to people who just up and left me when i was sure i needed them most. others to people i hardly think about. and then suddenly i'm hit "with a ton of bricks" (yay for my mother's cliches euphenisms). and so i write a million more just like it.
just so you know, if you ever need an ear, i have two available. even if i don't know most of the people in your life.

I will tell you one thing right now -- another reason why the letter was so hard to send was because I couldn't quite figure out if this person was someone that would either, to quote you: a) leave me "when I was sure I needed them most" or b) become a person that "I hardly think about". It's rare anyway if I get instinct to tell me such things, but still...
I guess it does me no good to worry now when I only have a few hours to wait and see what happens. Then I'll be sure to let you know what exactly is going on.
Signed, sincerely,
Xtina

there had to have been a good reason why you wrote that letter, so whether they are fleeting thoughts or not, i believe that there was a significant reason for you writing that letter. and if you wrote it, it does have some significance. obviously, i don't know what the contents of the letter contained, but don't regret what you did. it's a brave thing to do.
