I'm aware I'm alive.

Puffy white clouds, on a vibrant blue sky, accompanied by a steady but gentle breeze. Every summer day needs to be like today.

I've only started to relax just now, though I don't have much time left till I start work. Since last Saturday, I've already read four books. Mitch Albom may be completely unethical, but he can write a damn good summer read ( Read more... )

I miss you. Like Crazy. just_lala May 30 2005, 00:21:54 UTC
Nana, I'm coughing up a storm here and the only thoughts are of how badly I want to be in Maryland to take those drives with you. Concerts are amazing and I hope you have a blast at The Killers and Keane cause they're both amazing. Next year will be totally rockin' too. You know it. As roommates I'll make sure of it. I miss you.

If this year's season of shows is even close to being as amazing as this past year's has been, then I will be quite content, especially since I'll be at the majority of them with you. Stop being sick and having random things going on with your eyes and with your head. We need to go dorm shopping too, don't forget.

I think I'm on this reading rampage because I didn't get to read anything for fun over the school year, not even magazines. When you get a break from studying and I figure out my work schedule, we need to set aside a day to make our "AE" bags.

Tuesdays With Morrie is incredible, too.

I cried on the Metro when I was reading it, just like I did during Five People...

Hope your break is fun!

I own Tuesdays with Morrie! Oh goodness, that book made me cry too. Now that I can recall, I actually gave a copy to my dad last year for his birthday. Just thought it was necessary. Hope your break is fun too! Update me sometime.

That's awesome! I'm starting a similar tradition with my uncle, since we can both talk about books we've read for hours. He gave me The DaVinci Code for my birthday last year.

And yes, we are extremely cute with our dads... XD

how to be good! nick hornby is definitely my favorite author, but i think david sedaris is also becoming a favorite. i've read pretty much all of hornby's books. i can't wait for his newest book that is due out next month, i think. good to see you're reading his books. i recommend songbook if you want to read short essays about all these songs that have affected his life or why he loves those songs so much. it's great hearing what another music buff has to say about his top favorite songs and what they mean to him. :]

I've been reading Hornby's books for a while... I actually remember being pleasantly surprised that you read his books because I had just finished About A Boy, heh. Songbook sounds so interesting! I've never heard of David Sedaris, but since I can drive myself to the library now, I'll definitely have to check him out. Hope your summer is good stuff.
