oh my god, thats disgusting. What kind of people are they??!?!

Those poor animals :( I can't imagine ever doing that to such pure, innocent beings. Good for you for doing what you could to feed them and keep them alive.

God, I'd break the fucking winow to let them out if I knew i wouldn't get arrested/charged for B&E.

This is the issue. I broke in once already but now that the window is locked I could get into serious trouble if I broke it to get in. We left the window open for days hoping the cats would just run away but they won't leave the apartment. I'm disturbed that nobody in a position of some power is willing to make any effort to make a difference. The police came the first night and told me they were picking up the one dog "because his sergeant told him to", but then they brought the dog back and left her with me because they couldn't get Animal Bylaw to keep her. The Humane Society won't go in because the door was locked, even though the window was open. Child Services won't start an investigation because the evidence isn't in their current residence. It's just appalling.

The only thought I have left is the health region, and I have no idea where you'd start there.

You're the second person to mention that. I'll have to look into it. Thanks for the input!
