yeah, so.
if i had gone to milwaukee, i don't even know how much of a music high i'd be on right now.
last night was like..indescribable.
the metro is the best venue ever.
big HUGE thanks to Negin and her dad 'cause they were our ride.

we got there about half an hour before the doors opened and stood and froze for a while.
i went and bought a bunch of clothes and such.
soco's merch guy complimented my Format clothing. =)
went and watched The Academy Is...
and oh my god, are they amazing as all hell.
at one point i pointed at the singer and he pointed back.
i'm so lame, but i love it.
i made a sign that says "you fuckin' kick ass" and when the singer came over by where i was (on the barrier to the right facing the stage) i held it up and he squinted to read it and pointed at me and smiled.
he's like..little baby adam lazzara...just without the screaming and pink hair.
after that, me and codi went downstairs to go see if they were hanging out by their little merch table. we bought t-shirts and pre-ordered their CD (comes out feb. 8th, buy it or die) which comes with a wristband to get into their show on march 4th. we made friends with their merch guy, whose name is chad...and i stole his lighter after the show.
then we were waiting around for TAI to come out 'cause they said they were gonna go. and who the hell walked by but the new guitarist for something corporate and i flipped out and couldn't remember his name and i go to codi and i say "THAT WAS THE...THE..THE RAW GUY." (his name's bobby raw) so we went up the stairs and said hi and took pictures and stuff and he was so nice. he was just asking us questions and stuff and we were like the only people who knew who he was. i was like "aww, let me take you home with me so you can be my brother." except i didn't say that.
so we went and found negin and were like "WHY DIDN'T YOU STAY WITH US?" and she got all mad. so then we went back up around the front side and i squeezed my way to the front through some stupid girls and negin and codi and christina followed me..sorta and we all ended up in sort of a line. codi caught one of their drumsticks.
straylight run played after hidden in plain view and we were like the only people who knew who they were. but it was fucking awesome. before their set, shaun (bassist) came out to fuck around with his bass and i went "HEY SHAUN" and he turned around and i waved and he smiled and waved back. then john came out to do who knows what and i yelled "HEY JOHN" and he turned around and i waved and he smiled and waved (haha, i'm so awesome) and then they played their set. it fuckin' rocked but it was really short. during "Your Name Here" (sunrise highway if you're stupid), me and codi had our lighters out and john looked over and grinned and sorta nodded in our direction. after their set, will (drummer) was taking his stuff down and me 'n' neg yelled his name and he waved. same thing with michelle. good times.
so Soco was after that, obviously. and they were fucking amazing. by that time, i was leaning on this wooden-stair thing being as comfortable as all hell. before their set, i was reading their set list off the piano..i didn't think i could see that far. i'm pretty sure they played "Fall" first, but Andrew came over by where we were and squatted down and i just leaned forward as far as i could and he gave me a huge high five and then i grabbed his arm (he has soft arm hair..lol). so i had my lighter up during all of konstantine and burned myself like ten times. i almost set the [jackass] security guard on fire, too, but i would have laughed anyways. he was an asshole. i can't even like..describe how amazing it was.
just. phenomenal. no effing words.
afterward, i met katie (my lj friend. WOOOT). she had been out there since like..what, 8 or 8:30 that morning? you're nuts darling.
we went to subway afterward and had food and then went home.
me 'n' codi watched dawson's creek 'til we couldn't stay up anymore.
