Okay, so a lot has happened in the past two weeks. As far as explanation goes I've got a house guest who'll be in town until Friday. Hence the not playing around on the internet.
Big news first: I have kicked the housekeeping job to the CURB. Fuckers. For those of you who don't know, I like three of the women I work with quite well, but the FOURTH, well, I want to tell her to eat a floppy dick quite often. I admit I didn't stick out my two full weeks, but fuck her. And I don't mean "fuck 'em" just her. No one likes a bitch who acts like she knows everything and can do it all better than everyone else. (I actually heard her ask a co-worker complaining about a sore back if maybe she had meningitis. W. T. F. I've heard my dad describe how it feels, and "my back was sore" did NOT factor into it.) At any rate this woman could get a post all her own about all the different ways she provokes me to despise her, so I'll stop now. Long story short, since she's now the "newest" employee on the crew, she gets to take the bitch work back that I did for three months (and which she only did for two weeks before I was hired). Pushing a craptastic vacuum cleaner around for six hours a night is what I like to call just deserts.
And the reason for quiting said job: I'm now part of the Citgo family. Yup, I'm working at Kelly's old post and enjoying it SO much more than cleaning. I mean, easier work, simple tasks, fun co-workers... BETTER PAY... (assuming I get considered trained for nights, that is) And the highlight of this is that my interview consisted of Em talking to the manager saying "Hey, we have two applicants. One's Laurie Holman. Kelly's sister." to which he responded "How soon can she start?" Yeah. I feel cool and inadequate all at the same time. Not that I'm minding! As a side note, since the paydays are staggered with the old job... I'm getting four paychecks in a row, one week after another. Not FULL checks, mind you, but still. It's nice.
Rocky Horror. A group of us went together. Jimmy was dressed in drag (as usual), Luke was Shaun from Shaun of the Dead (and yes, he got "You've got red on you," a DAMN LOT at the show. Glorious), and Kel and I went as homicidal sisters we dubbed the Murder Twins. Spattered blood, latex gloves, neat hair-dos and tragically stained blouses completed the costumes. We even had matching makeup and hair accessories. We got a lot of weird looks (but no one mentioned there being red on US... and really, there was a lot more than what Luke had. Some people's kids, I tell ya...).
Was there anything else? I'm sure I'm forgetting things... it's late and I'm tired. Ah well, reason to post again, eh?
