i almost cried in class today for no reason at all.

So according to Sarte, if I feel shitty, its not because of anything I did, its because the world around me is lacking in consciousness? That sounds like not wanting to take responsibility for one's own actions and gives permission for a completely nihilistic, amoral lifestyle, because hey...its not you...its everyone else.

Don't forget to place the philosopher in the timeframe in which he lived: Sarte was post-world war II france.
