ooops..i should just buy a new one right?

Massive numpty here went and spilled water all over her new (ish) printer today, and suprisingly now it doesnt work. Cheapest repair ive seen is £55, and i bought it for about £75....i should just save the bother & get a new one? is that being a bit excessive & impatient or just common sense?not sure if it came with a guarantee and if it covers ( Read more... )

If you manage to find the warranty I doubt it'll cover water damage - they tend to only replace them if the actual product is faulty somehow.

Frankly if the repairs are going to cost almost the same price as the printer you may aswell just get a new one... atleast then you'll have a new warranty and repairs are occasionally a short-term solution anyway.

aye good advice, thats what i thought, was just checking in case they were gonna be like 'hey your a massive retard but we'll give you another one for free anyway'. i SO dont need to be spending money right now! gaaaaaah :(

what make is it? it is possible to take cover out wait the thirty or so days and then put a claim in i know homeserve and a mastercare have accidental on there cover with a 30 ish day wait.

They never check i know becasue i used to be one of the people who took the claims over the phone
