Really? I have never in my life been told I look like her. How do you think I resemble her? I find her rather exotic looking, while I'm... well, not. lol Granted, I'm not wearing much makeup in these pictures, but I don't think that would make much of a difference.

Anyway, I'm definitely not complaining because Ava was a gorgeous lady. I just never thought I looked anything like her. But then we never see ourselves the way others see us, do we?

the 3rd one INSTANTLY made me think "AVA." And then the last one confirmed it. I can't even say what specific things it IS, you just look EXACTLY like her. When she's wearing a ton of makeup, no, but that's a really unnatural look they seemed to love in the fifties.

The eyes are the same there. I can't find any good pictures of her smiling but I sware it looks JUST LIKE YOU.

I've been writing a paper on "Showboat" --the version she's in, so I've actually been spending a lot of face time wih Ava lol. The way she looks at the beginning of that movie reminds me of the way you look.

I nice blend of Ava Gardner & Natalie Wood I always look at the pics first then text. Pleasently shocked and yet not by your mother looking like Natalie. You have the beauty of 2 screen goddesses

Oh, I was only named after her! But I do kind of see where you're seeing her. They both have very similar face shapes, with Ava looking more exotic and Natalie more girl-next-door.

My mother actually looks like Greta Garbo, but then my father looks like Bill Murray. So... I guess Bill + Greta = me. lol

First of all: you're gorgeous!

Second of all: yeah, Ava Gardner. There's also a little Vivien Leigh and Valerie Hobson in you, but mostly Ava. I see it especially in the second picture, you even have that sort of cool, Ava-like expression on your face.

Thank you! I don't often feel it, though (yay, low self-esteem!). I guess when you spend most of your life looking like an ugly duckling, it's hard to see yourself in any other way even if you do change.

I'm starting to see where you guys are getting Ava, although it is rather hard to be objective about one's own face, isn't it? I can totally see the bit of Valerie Hobson, though. She looks like she'd fit right into my family.

I know how you feel--I was always the pale, gangly tall kid, always standing in the back with the boys in the class photo. It's hard to shake that image, even as the years go by. Especially when you're still as pasty as I am.

However, that doesn't change the fact that you are, as I said, quite gorgeous.

Fellow pasty, here! That first picture does not do justice to just how pale I can get. I personally find pale, porcelain-like skin rather beautiful, but the rest of the population seems to think there's something wrong with that. But you know all about that already, I'm sure. :p

Yeah, I remember the tall girls getting a hard time about that. I had some serious social anxiety growing up, so I was always being asked why I never spoke or why I didn't smile, and you know that only made it worse. God, kids can be such assholes.

You really, really look a lot like Ava, IMHO. I think it's the facial structure/smile. You're very pretty :).
