Finally, somebody had answers. Any answers. When security called and said that someone was in the lab, I knew it had to be her. Oh, and Knox had to be with her. Who else could it have been? Well, I guess some random tech person, but why would security have called just for that

Willow and I kept walking toward the lab that had held the sarcophagus,. I was still slightly annoyed that she had to choose this moment to question us working for Wolfram and Hart. Of course I had started to question this decision myself several times. Even more so now that this happened to Fred. But we could talk about that later. Or rather, she and Angel could. I'd like to hear his explanation one more myself. Come to think of it, I don't think I've heard it the first time

I stepped past Cordy and Angel, the books I gathered from Wesley's office still in my arms. I was looking pretty weary at this point, and I sighed wistfully as I moved forward.

"Hope you don't mind Wesley, but Cordy and I have been in your office all day reading every single little thing in every single book you had," I told him. "We've come up with some pretty interesting details, some of which we were kind of hoping you might be able to shed some light on."

I had my thumb stuck inbetween the pages in one of the books I was holding, I cracked it open and handed it over to Wesley. "Now I know that because these books are yours, you've probably seen all this before, but we figured what we'd found might be of some importance."

I pointed with my finger to certain passages in the book that gave reference to this 'Qwa'ha Xahn', and anything else regarding the 'Old Ones'. If there was anyone who would shed light on all this, it would be Wesley. I looked at him, my eyes wide with hope, praying he could tell us something we didn't already

Talk about taking one giant leap out of bounds. Shouldn't I have learned by now that there is always time for probing questions after the major apocalypse was averted?

I was about to actually apologize to Wesley when I heard Angel's question. I turned around, greeting them with a small wave. I watched them present Wesley with the news, in book form no less. That was never good news. I didn't want to peer over Wesley's shoulder, so I resorted to just reading whatever expression crossed his face.

"Did the research turn up anything?" I asked softly, not sure I even want to know the answer. "Does it have any hints where to find the thing that hijacked Fred's body, and Knox?"

I admit I actually hesitated before I mentioned Knox's name. I was walking on thin ice to begin with, knowing Wesley's attitude toward him.
