I felt the same way, I only wanted to get married once, never divorced. And here I am...on the other side of that bridge. I crossed it and I found you, though. I crossed it and found you.

The idea of divorce never crossed my mind. It did, however, cross my ex-wife's. Even after I caught her with another man, I would have taken her back -- we'd just adopted Amanda -- but no, she didn't want to come back. The man himself was fairly decent, apart from falling for her line about how neglected and misused she was, but SHE ...

Well, I got sole custody of my daughter in 1983, and you know how difficult it was (is) for a man to get sole custody unless you prove the mother is a drug-using, devil-worshipping participant in wife-swapping AND abuses the child. *nods*

It certainly sounds like you have your head on your shoulders. I am sure you're a fine Father as well.

I hope everything goes well.

I do my humble best. That's all anyone CAN do, really. Thanks for the vote of confidence, though. Means a lot.

My parents have been married for a little over 20 years so the thought of divorce as relating to them seems rather alien. I respect two peoples rights to divorce I just think a lot more thought should be put into it because of the innocent bystanders.I think it is wrong to force two people to live together who are no longer happy together. So, no, divorce is not wrong. An unhappy marriage, no hope of escape, etc.,are most definitely wrong.
