and Snow Peas, and Queens, and Censor Fiends

The course I'm doing to unleash my "artist child", unblock myself, and recover, is a wee bit of an ugly bitch with fangs for toes. One of the tasks (or shall I say moments of heaven that have me dancing in fields of daisies, and orgasming out of every orifice of my young body) is that rain or shine, every day when I wake up, I must write my " ( Read more... )

Fun Science Fact #43 b_rad_bradley April 20 2005, 13:33:14 UTC
As I understand it, that whole right-brain/left-brain dichotomy is a little far-fetched. I believe EEGs or whatever show slightly heightened activity towards one side of the brain for 'creative' or the other for 'rational' activities, but generally speaking most things are shared pretty evenly between both hemispheres. I believe there tend to be 'hotspots' of activity for certain actions, but as far as I know none of them are exclusively confined to particular side of the brain.

I was recently reading a book on improving memory which was written by a doctor and it seemed to support the right and left brain ideas. But the scientific evidence wasn't as clear as I had hoped. Maybe after reading more I'll find out how acurate it really is.

Oh yay! I had missed reading about your life since I don't see much of you anymore. I've been seeing Quentin over the past months much more than I used to. Perhaps the three of us could hang out like old times? I will miss his car though. That pimp ride rocked, and it was fun bringing new crazy electronic music to show you two. No more Aphex Twin, or creepy windy roads, with the front car lights off I suppose. We'll have to find something else to do. Maybe a walk somewhere pretty in the daytime?

Just throught that I'd drop in and write a short blurb or something:
Randomness is good. But blah, why bother ranting about crap everyone already knows about? Anyways, good to know that you're still around Holly, even though we haven't talked in over 2...3 years now?

Moved back to Vancouver Island. In Sooke. When I get a job, I might move into Victoria or something *shrugs*. You?

I like how my nose isn't shiny, and the circles under my eyes look softened. But I like the rosy cheeks and bright lips that I had before.

Ew, really? I don't think the original pic is flattering at all. There is lots of noise around your eyes and forehead, your skin tone is too rosy (it looks like you have a rash), and I don't think your lips look normal (they look really puffy and swollen). To each their own I suppose though. I like the pale skin, dark lips sort of look.
