Now... if only the Cure could reach the same conclusion (or, at least, stop sucking).
never happen. so long as Robert Smith can keep replacing members with what are essentially fanboys just waiting for a chance to play music with their idol, the band will continue on and on and on and on and one can only guess as to the quality...but who involved in the recording process is actually telling anyone else "no"?
Well, this last time, it was Roger & Simon trying to say "no." Their attitude both during & after the recording of the latest album, and the likelihood of Ross Robinson producing the next, has made Robert intimate that if Roger and Simon press an "us or Ross" issue, then The Cure will be looking for new members.
If Simon goes, I think my interest in The Cure would be reduced to near nil. He's the only element remaining which draws me to their music.

Saw it coming, though I'll miss Louris' voice. I guess I'll have to keep picking up the Golden Smog albums.
Thankfully, they're not the end-all-be-all of my musical tastes.
